About This Project

One of the first skyscrapers in the U.S. finished with powder coatings. This 51-story tower features a distinctive textured powder coating creating a cast-iron aesthetic. Approximately 20,000 lbs of coating applied.

The architectural elements required precise color matching and consistent film thickness across all components. Our quality control process ensured every piece met the stringent requirements for this high-profile installation.

Spectrum's Role

Our powder coating team applied PPG Coraflon FEVE Powder meeting AAMA 2605 specifications. The Black Flower (custom gunmetal matte) finish was achieved through our precision application process. Every component was processed through our 7-stage pretreatment system to ensure maximum coating adhesion and long-term performance.
