About This Project
Home to Columbia University's Mortimer B. Zuckerman Mind Brain Behavior Institute, this 9-story building was designed by Renzo Piano Building Workshop as a "palace of light" for neuroscience research. Spectrum applied PPG Duranar 2-coat liquid fluoropolymer finish to the aluminum facade components. Completed 2017 as part of Columbia's Manhattanville campus expansion.
Spectrum's Role
Our liquid coating team applied PPG Duranar (2-coat) meeting AAMA 2605 specifications. Every component was processed through our 7-stage pretreatment system to ensure maximum coating adhesion and long-term performance.
